The wildlife is ever present and are our closest neighbors. We are lucky enough to live in country that elk, deer, and other wild game call home. Having an experienced and prior hunting guide as a husband adds to the excitiment of hunting season. Predators such as mountian lions and bears can prey on baby calves. Though they have some tough mothers, sometimes we must protect our livestock! Other times, it is for the experience and meat. Hiking, scouting, glassing, and hunting trips around the ranch are some of our favorite family outings!
